Dr. Kym Le was born in Carlton, Melbourne and graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide. Dr. Le knew she wanted to be a dentist from a very early age, having seen first-hand the consequences of poor dental care, particularly amongst the disadvantaged. One of the things she most enjoys about being a dentist is having the ability to positively impact a patient’s smile and confidence.
Dr. Le is a mention of the Australian Society of Periodontology but is interested in all aspects of dentistry, regularly attending courses and lectures on a wide variety of topics. Dr. Le is committed to her continuing professional development and has completed 220 hours (with the requirement being 60 hours) in this 3-year cycle.
Dr. Le has volunteered with the Royal Flying Doctors, providing essential dental care area to remote areas. She also provides dental care to the homeless and participates in numerous volunteering events each year. In her spare time, Dr. Le enjoys swimming and walking long distances and she always embraces experiences that take her outside of her comfort zone, whether it is travelling off the beaten track of tasting strange foods from around world.
